How do you describe what's for sale, hit the key points, and make it understandable and appealing to the reader? I can help you do it, using as few or as many words as you'd like. I’ll ensure it sounds like your brand by following your in-house style guide (or creating one for you if needed).
What needs to be said? Who’s your audience, and what's the end goal? Understanding all of that will let me create messaging that fits your needs and helps you reach your goals. I have a knack for taking a lot of info, finding key points, and writing it so it works.
You know what your business offers, but do you know how to say it? And strike the right tone? From a tagline to full descriptions,I can help you capture your brand and convey it. And if you need a creative brainstorm for a name or campaign, I’ll pull all the details together and present lots of options.
Are you looking for a way to share health information without sounding preachy or boring? When it’s relatable, fun, and easy-to-grasp, readers connect with it. Using a conversational tone and a quick-get message, I can help you reach your consumers and inspire them to take action.
From base-level editing (typos and grammatical errors) to broader suggestions (rearranging or recasting sentences), I’m happy to bring my professional proofreading skills to written projects. I’ll use your style manual of choice, and can help you create an in-house style guide if needed.

Created unique themes and wrote annual holiday events guides 2016–2020 for the Minneapolis Southwest Journal newspaper. Each yearly guide included at least 60 activities to do throughout the holiday season, with each event having its own description. Shown here: the 2017 guide, where the cover offered a Bingo-style card as an interactive and fun way to encourage participating in events within the guide. Wrote unique headlines on a weekly basis for category website pages in order to convey product offerings and sales messages. Partnered with business analysts to ensure headlines and subheads correctly captured merchant directives. In this example, the headline and subhead inspire the guest to think about home organization projects, and the imagery presents fresh ideas at compelling price points.
Collaborated with designer to create collateral for a fall flu shot campaign. Working as partners in art and writing, brainstormed various copy ideas—striving for a concise and relatable headline as the campaign theme. In this poster example, the headline engages the reader with a question, then draws them in to further wording that clearly and concisely offers instruction on how to proceed, and why.
Crafted five short headlines that conveyed trends, bolstering the teaser headlines with 1–3 sentences of explanatory copy rich with illustrative wording. Trend descriptions offered aspirational suggestions and nods to the affordability of the product selection at Target.
Crafted concise, on-brand headlines for posters to be displayed in Target stores. In this grocery-poster example, the wording prompts the Target guest to think about snack ideas for kids, with the upbeat message suggesting kids will give their nod of approval.
Collaborated with art director to create emails featuring multiple limited-time designer products. In this example, short headlines convey urgency, build excitement, or offer a quick understanding of the design style. Concise subheads further explain the unique product line and guide the reader to the clickable call to action.
Created unique headlines on category website pages in order to convey weekly product offerings and unique sales messages. In this example, the headline conveys variety of product while offering a light, upbeat brand voice that complements the colorful, lighthearted imagery.
Captured the spirit of an art gallery event that brought live music and a leather goods trunk show together amidst the oil paintings, sculptures, and handcrafted pottery of the gallery itself. Conveyed all pertinent information about the event while weaving in quotes from the gallery owner describing the space, its offerings, and the way art overlaps in sound, sight, and touch.
Partnered with art director to create an invitation for an awards show after-party featuring fashion, art and music. Collaborated to choose wording, font, colors, and a title that captured the urban, edgy tone of the event while concisely conveying the key information.
